so interesting to look back at these videos (return to sewing, no chores on a dry sunday, soul weary) like exactly a year onward. at the time i felt so clouded compared to now. which is often exactly how i feel whenever i look back at myself. but i felt like it was important to start documenting my life. i think this is around when i really starting thinking about video making process and how much it informs the work. i always come back from florida after the holidays with new perspective on my life in nyc. this year was no different. but that year was tough but I came back feeling very motivated and inspired. feeling a culmination in my mind forcing me to act. looking back my mindset wasn't really sustainable and i've now found a better place to step from. but really the only place you can step from is exactly where you are.
the bag modification lasted maybe a week before it got annoying. i was pretty bummed. it didn't hold the weight of the bag. so the extra strap would fall off my right shoulder. and the whole reason was to alleviate the shoulder / neck pain i was developing from riding 45 mins to and from red hook every day. idk if its worth playing around with more but I would really like to find a way to use a sling bag but not get a sore shoulder. maybe a symmetrical bag with a buckle setup that can be worn over either shoulder. really the right solution for long hours riding with heavy stuff is a real two strap bag.
