this is a practice video I'd say. well theyre all practice videos. but this time i opened davinci telling myself just to practice. used footage from my trip home to florida and nye party after coming back to the city. reps editing and a chance to experiment with some ideas. this is the first video that i've composed music for as part of the editing process. I rough cut a section, then jammed a bit on the op-z, then recorded it via the voiceover tool right into davinci, then came back for a fine edit. worked really well I think. excited to practice this technique more. excited to see how i can integrate the music and the video together. tone-wise feeling pretty ethereal. going back to florida always brings up feelings. it often feels like i'm on another plane of existence relative to my normal life. this time i was missing florida, I miss my family, and my friends, and the outside world. winter in the northeast is hard but getting to spend time inside with friends here makes it doable. hmu if you're in nyc and want to play soulcalibur.
